Mr. El Hassen El Houssein, Advisor and Envoy of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and African Cooperation of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania, arrived on Friday at Mitiga International Airport to participate in the inauguration ceremony of the headquarters of the Executive Secretariat of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD), scheduled to take place tomorrow, Saturday, in the Libyan capital, Tripoli.
He was received at the VIP lounge by Mr. Najib Al-Rayani, Director of the Arab Affairs Department, and Mr. Abdelnasser Younes, Director of the African Affairs Department at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The participation of the Mauritanian delegation in this event reflects the support of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania for the return of Libyan diplomacy to its leading role at both regional and continental levels, in light of the stability and development currently witnessed in Libya under the Government of National Unity. It is worth noting that the reopening of the Executive Secretariat headquarters follows comprehensive modernization and development works, transforming it into an advanced logistical and administrative hub that meets the aspirations of member states and contributes to strengthening economic and security integration in the Sahel-Saharan region, in line with the highest international standards
