Her Excellency Mrs. Fátima Jau, Minister of State for International Cooperation of the Republic of Guinea-Bissau, arrived at Mitiga International Airport in the capital, Tripoli, on Wednesday evening. She is on an official visit to participate in the opening ceremony of the headquarters of the Community of Sahel-Saharan States (CEN-SAD), scheduled to take place next Saturday.
The Minister and her accompanying delegation were received at the VIP lounge by Mr. Fathallah Al-Zani, Minister of State for African Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, along with Mr. Abdul Nasser Younis, Director of the African Affairs Department at the Ministry.
Guinea-Bissau’s high-level participation in this regional event reflects its firm commitment to supporting the Executive Secretariat of the Community in carrying out its duties from the heart of the capital, Tripoli. It also serves as a message of international endorsement for the steps toward stability and development pursued by Libya under the umbrella of the Government of National Unity.
It is worth noting that the new headquarters of the Executive Secretariat has undergone comprehensive modernization and development, transforming it into an advanced logistical and administrative center that meets the aspirations of the member states. It contributes to enhancing economic and security integration in the Sahel-Saharan region in accordance with the highest international standards.
